Christmas guide to pressies for your mom's

All mom's love homemade gifts, so a scrapbook or a photocollage put into a frame, or even the family videos put onto a dvd ( this gift is for dads too!). If you have a low budget, i suggest some cute pj's or slippers from victoria secret, for under $30 i love these by mac, Curiousitease 5 mini Plushglasses in either warm or cool skin toned.

Warm(1st pic) Cool (2nd pic)

( both can be bought at mac online or at nordstrom!)

or this by philosophy (at nordstrom) philosophy's cookie exchange set includes three mouthwatering cookie-flavored 3in1's ( shampoo, bubblebath and showergel! i love these) in coconut macaroon, double chocolate chip and spiced cookie $30

any thing from philosophys sets or 3in1s will be much loved by moms who love pampering!
Higher budgets;
Here are a few ideas but with a higher budget it should be easier ( look on the nordstrom and neiman marcus gift guides which gives price ranges and ideas)
Ugg Slippers, tiffany jewellery ( make sure u know what jewellery ur mom likes!) u could put together a make up case full of your moms favourite brand.
Dads and brothers and sisters following in the next few days!

Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks

Come on how could you not love them! Bobbi Browns is able to create collection which will suit every face out there!

My favourites are the Gold(LE) and Apricot, they are so versatile that u can use them for highlighting, eyeshadow, blush. Another thing i love about bobbi is that she creates natural and not in your face looks. AS she claims her make up is to enhance ur beauty not cover it up!

Pumpkin pie

I know its a bit late, but Pumpkin pie is fab all year round and i think should feature more in resturants.

Here's the recipe i used to make my pie. ( taken of the can of libbys pumpkin pie)

9oz Shortcrust pastry
2 eggs
1 x 425g can of Libby's Solid Pack Pumpkin
6oz Granulated Sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp cloves
1/2 pint Carnation evaporated milk

  1. Preheat the oven to 220c or 425F, Gas mark 7.
  2. Roll out pastry to line a 9 inch deep flap tin.
  3. Bake blind for 10-15mins.
  4. Reduce oven to 180c, 350F, Gas mark 4
  5. Combine all ingredients together ( not pastry duh!) and mix
  6. Pour into the pastry lined tin
  7. Bake for 40-50mins or until a knife inserted near the centre comes out clean
  8. let it cool

And then dig in mmm....

It is also good with ice cream.

* disclaimer, if it goes wrong, dont blame me LOL

Its nearly that time of year!

Christmas is my favourite time of year, even the word makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. Christmas represents to me, Love, family, great food, giving and receiving presents and decorating the tree and counting the days down!! I think Christmas makes the winter seem more cheerful and something to look forward too, as i dont know about you but i hate winter! Bring on the sunshine and the warmth! Christmas in as many words as i can think of;

Marshmallows,Hot Chocolate, Tinsel, Christmas tree, decorations, baubles, jesus, angels, miseltoe, presents, warm fire, wrapping paper, stars, winter woolies, rain boots and Uggs, turkeys, roast potatoes, gravy, stuffing, snow and disgusting Christmas pudding bleugh!

ok ok i cheated i added things that made me think of winter but hey i think of winter as christmas lol
when its officially 1st of december ill be posting my Christmas List.
