Maybelline Define -a-Lash, i bought this mascara around 2 months ago and it certainly lives up to expectations. From the tube " Separated, Sensuously long lashes, no clumps.

Pros-It lengthens my already long lashes, if your looking for a mascara that thickens lashes also, then this is not for you. This mascara has the potential to look spidery on girls with thin lashes, but good news they have a volume version out!
Cons-The brush is weird to work with, its super bendy and the brush itself is awkward to use.

girls with thick lashes, should buy this, or girls with short lashes. Its a great mascara but i probably wont be buying again!

Used worse, used better! 4 out of 5 stars though.

Hey hey!

So this week i hope to buy some crystals ( light pink) to crystallize my ipod nano. Its going to look so good, i don't really like my silver colour so I'm going to liven it up a bit with baby pink crystals. It's a pain in the butt but it is so worth it in the end! i promise I'll post pics.

I'm loving O.P.I's Louvre Me Louvre Me Not, it is a fun pop of juicy grape color. It seems a fun winter colour! I am loving dark colours at the moment, a must have is Russian Navy by opi! pic courtesy of alllacqueredup

Its my birthday on the 8th of May and if my mom and dad are reading, which they are most likely to, wink wink, here is my ultimate list to celebrate my birthday. Louis Vuitton Speedy 30 ( available at http://www.louisvutton.com/ ) This is no ordinary bag, its a classic, and something I will be able to use forever and of very high quality, trust me it will last through the years. This style Louis Vuitton has been made for years and is timeless. Pretty Please, this is the most fabulous bag and i know its expensive at £345 ( price increase last week, damn LV and their price increases) but remember i'll love it forever.

I did think about asking for a ipod or a TV but then i realised, that will diminish in price very soon and it will be busted in 2 year's time unlike the speedy.

Will and Grace season 1, without a shadow of doubt, will and grace is my favourite show and with it not being aired so much after sadly finishing. It never without fail makes me laugh and you can watch it over and over again.

Blueberry Mask from Urban Outfitters, mmm this sounds soo good! it will make my skin clearer, glowy and smell great! sounds like the perfect mask!

Miss me?

Nope Couture gal isn't missing in action, she need a break due to personal problems. It's sorta sorted out but I'll survive. i can't believe i haven't posted since Saturday, i think i almost had withdrawals symptoms, Kidding! or am i?

With my birthday coming up in 2 weeks, and shockingly i haven't come up with list yet. I have a few ideas but i hope to do a proper post soon. I often get inspiration for blog posts while picking what to wear, listening to music but most of all while going for a walk. I think walking is the best way to come up with blog post ideas so walk with me and get the those blog ideas flowing.

It's late, my hair is a mess, I'm sad that I've just watched this weeks episode of gossip girl and i have to wait another week. It was the Blair's Sleepover episode and my my was it good.

Costing a whopping $30 bucks for the nail varnish alone, discard that nail varnish and try opi or even drug store brands. my favourite ones come from drugstore ones ( UK - thats a chemist /boots)

A white V neck tee should be a staple in everyone's wardrobe, it doesn't have to look sloppy or casual and it can transform into anything you want, except a treasure chest! leave that to the pirates to find.

T-shirts originate from Ancient Egyptian Times as part of their everyday clothes, and it wasnt until US soldiers in Europe during the World War 1 were rather taken with the light cotton undershirts the European soldiers wore under their garments that they started to become a top not underwear. I believe it was James Dean who made the T shirt and jeans combo very popular.

This outfit i made, could be worn by anyone and reminds me very much of blair outfit from gossip girl. Its perfect for going out to lunch.
This outfit could be worn to the park or on a day out shopping.

While i'm not going to argue with another blogger, i totally disagree with this post from Miss Couturable ( http://misscouturable.blogspot.com/2008/04/less-t-shirts-more-classic-white-shirts.html)

She states that " Thus, I'm against the addition of t-shirts to our dress code. I enjoy the creative ways that our student body has learned to work around the no-tees rule, and I feel that the rigorous academic ambiance is reduced when one is wearing a band tee instead of a cashmere v-neck sweater ".

T shirts are a basic staple in my wardrobe and i have many, printed, plain, long sleeved and Short sleeved. They can be dressed down and also up, infact a band tee could easily replace the white v neck i used in the outfits i made. I must give her claps for not wearing t shirts for over 3 years.

C.W sort of, Banoffee Pie

This weeks C.W isn't really a chocolate recipe, its has some chocolate but not much lol. Banoffee pie is one of my favourite puddings and here is the recipe my family have always used with a bit of a twist! Instead of digestives i used chocolate hobnobs for the biscuit base.
For the base:
100g (3½oz) butter melted
250g (9oz) digestive biscuits

For the caramel:

100g (3½oz) butter
100g (3½oz) dark brown soft sugar
397g can Carnation Condensed Milk
Topping:
4 small bananas
284ml carton double cream, lightly whipped
cocoa powder, for dusting ( Hot chocolate powder in the UK)

You will also need:20cm (8”) loose-bottomed cake tin

Step 1: The base

To make the base, process the biscuits until like fine crumbs then tip into a bowl. Stir in the melted butter. Press the mixture into the base and 4cm (1½in) up the sides of the tin. Chill the base while you make the filling.

Step 2: The filling

Place the butter and sugar into a non-stick saucepan over a low heat, stirring until the butter melts and the sugar dissolves. Add the condensed milk and bring gently to the boil, stirring continuously to make the caramel. As soon as it thickens, remove from the heat. Spread the filling over the biscuit base, cool, and then leave to chill for about 1 hour, until firm.

Step 3: The topping
To serve, remove the pie from the tin and place on a serving plate. Slice the bananas; fold half of them into the softly whipped cream and spoon over the toffee base. Decorate with the remaining bananas and dust liberally with the cocoa ( UK hot chocolate powder)

This Pie is definitely not for diets! Its yummy but ever so slightly sickly! The recipe comes from nestle.

Make up

Bronze eye make up, light pink lipgloss and gold or bright pink nails are my favourite items and i can see the bronze eye and gold nails becoming popular again

Fashion

I think boho will come back as it has been mentioned quite a lot lately. Gladiator sandals are perfect for summer and will look so chic with above the knee flowey skirts.I hope the over sized bags are here to stay as I'm a huge fan.

John Frieda Luminous Colour Glaze in Dark Brunette

As its coming up to spring, my hair needs a boost and what better I thought than “ John Frieda Luminous Colour glaze”. It claims to reawaken lacklustre brunette hair with shine boosters and mild dye!

Hair: Normal with a tendency to be greasy after 2 days of not washing, can be knotty and has a slight wave to hair. Hair has lots of volume I'll be using the same products, My herbal essence coconut shampoo and conditioner and the glaze.
Wash 1: Hair is feeling way softer and is easier to brush, seems a bit shiner and hair is slightly lighter!

wash 2: Hair is lighter! only by a tiny incy bit but def lighter! It also is shinier than before! Wash 3 is apparently when you are meant to see significant shine and hair boost!
Wash3: Hair is much lighter and softer. It hasnt improved my shine at all but im liking the affects of the glaze!

Wash4: No Pics as i ran out of batteries! No change from 3rd wash also

Wash 5: As you can see it has lightened a tiny bit after the 3rd wash, no massive change since 3rd wash.

I ran out after the 6th Wash and it didn't seem to change afterwards so wash 5 is as far as the glaze will work.

Pros: Lighter, softer hair. Cheap price of £7.
Cons: Messy to use, lost a lot of product because it fell out of the hair! Didn't improve shine.

I would buy this again!

C.W Chocolate Cherry Cupcakes!

Chocolate Cherry Cupcakes

These cupcakes are super good and get eaten really quickly. I think they are even better than normal chocolate cupcakes! my icing was a bit too runny so add a bit more icing. I adapted the martha stewart cupcake recipe that i used in the other cupcake C.W and added cherries and made up a cherry icing! not bad huh!

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line 12-cup standard muffin tin with paper liners.

Into a medium bowl, sift together cocoa, flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside.

In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each, then beat in vanilla.

With mixer on low speed, add flour mixture in two batches, alternating with sour cream and beginning and ending with flour.

Stir in a cup of chopped cherries

Pour batter into cups, filling each 3/4 full.

Bake until a toothpick inserted in centers comes out clean, 20 to 25 minutes.

Cherry Icing

Makes 3 1/2 cups, enough for 18 standard cupcakes

1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter, softened

1 pound (3 2/3 cups) confectioners' sugar

1 to 2 tablespoons milk

1 cup of frozen cherries defrosted and chopped

1. in the food processor blend the cherries until smooth.

2.In a mixing bowl, cream butter until smooth.Gradually add confectioners’ sugar; beat until smooth, then add the milk and cherries and mix again. add more icing sugar if it is too runny as it doesn't really set if too runny.

They are both siamese, the girl is the Lilac colour, her name is Yasmine and the boy is Seal point colour (the chocolate colour)he's called Jasper! Jasper has a obsession with pink things. He loves pink cat toys and my sister's Juicy Couture Scarf which he runs off with and chews! Which is highly annoying

A Starbucks takeaway cup, I'll take a cinnamon dolce latte to go! Starbucks makes the most yummiest coffee which simply can't be replaced by homemade coffee. Whilst sitting on those squishy maroon couches and reading the latest teen vogue while sipping my hot latte or taking that frappuccino to go.
The Olsen's are the queens of Starbucks, i mean they must drink hundreds a year, they should definitely do a endorsement with them, i mean they must be their best celebrity customer along with britney who's pics wont be on this post as her pics of her with starbucks are too awful!. The Olsens twins create the effortless hobo chick look, so fabulously, with their balenciaga bag nestled under their arm and clutching their favourite,Venti Soy chai tea
OK, admittedly as dorky as this sounds, I wish i was old enough to drive, as i think i would hop in that car each day, rushing for my Starbucks fix! I love everything about Starbucks, i love the smell, the comfy couches, the ice cold fraps or the hot lattes. I love how its the perfect refresher during shopping and it seems like the celebs agree too.

C.W Brownies

Welcome to another Chocolate Wednesday!

Finally I've found a Brownie recipe that works! Lets just say i usually stink at brownies! I cant even get the mixes to work, which is very embarrassing. But i stumbled across this brownie recipe and it works!
They taste great!

Makes 12 Brownies

4oz of chocolate chips or ( 2oz of milk chocolate and 2 oz of plain chocolate)
2 eggs
5oz Butter
10oz Caster Sugar
1/2 tsp of vanilla essence
2oz self raising flour
1oz Plain flour
2 tablespoons of cocoa powder
2oz of pecans

a deep square cake tin ( approx 8inches wide and at least 3 inches deep)

1. Heat the Oven to 180c/ 350F. Grease the tin, Line the bottom of the tin with greaseproof paper.

2. Melt chocolate over the stove in a glass bowl over boiling water or melt in microwave

3. Put Butter, Sugar and Vanilla essence in to a large mixing bowl. Beat until fluffy and light. Add eggs, slowly.

4. Sift both types of flour and cocoa powder into the bowl.

5. Add the Melted chocolate into the mix and mix well.

6. Chop the pecans finely and mix in.

7. Spoon mixture into the tin and smooth with the back of a spoon.

8. Bake the Brownies for 35 minutes until they have risen and have crust on the top and it comes out clean with a knife.

9. Leave the Brownies to cool in tin for 20minutes. Then cut them into squares.

Ta da Brownies!

Hayden's dress reminds me of a hersheys kiss! Not loving the accessories, i would have chosen gold shoes and clutch.

Ashlee's outfit is so darling and i love the neon orange shoes, kinda matches her skin lol but doesn't go with the outfit! The chanel bracelet is kinda tacky.

jordin's dress totally complements her skin tone and is a really pretty casual dress.

Hurrah for Abigail Breslin! Finally a kid dressing her age!

Bath time bubbles

I'm a huge fan of philosophy 3in1's and use them daily. In the shower, in the bath and sometimes on my hair! They last for ages and smell great! They may cost $16 bucks a pop but they last for ages! I still have half a bottle of hot chocolate 3in1 from Christmas! I have tried 5 now!

Vanilla Birthday Cake: Smells really like vanilla without that typical cheap drugstore kind of smell. It really reminds me of the Mary Kate and Ashley Shampoo which was in fact the same consistency and colour.

Cinnamon Buns: It doesn't smell of typical cinnamon buns, more like cinnamon gum. Its the perfect treat in winter to warm you up. Its a great addition to your bath time.

Hot apple cider: This doesn't smell as appley as i thought it would, i was looking for a real hot apple cider smell but it got more of a winter spice smell which was rather disappointing but it still smelt great! Warning though it is bright orange!

Gingerbread man: This was totally not what i was expecting! i wanted gingerbread smells and got lemon coco cola smell! It has a completely different consistency to the others and is a browny clear liquid which much runnier than the other. It turned out to be my favourite smell, but made me crave coke first thing in the morning!

Hot cocoa: This is my second fave! It smells just like chocolate! Its a dark brown colour which may make you go brown in the shower but it washes off when you rinse.

The only thing disappointing about philosophy 3in1's is that the smells doesn't hang around! To solve this they should make matching body sprays!

Ever so often, Couture gal adds a piece of designer item to her wardrobe. Over the last year or so, my passion for fashion has really grown and so with it so has my lust for designer stuff has increased! Over this past year,i've bought bought a Louis Vuitton Alma in multicolour, Dior glossys for birthday, Louis vuitton bandeau and loads of juicy couture items( i don't know if you count juicy as designer) and now Chanel vintage clipons from the 70's have become part of my new collection! They are rather massive but ever so darling. I do love designer items but just as much as ordinary items and i only buy stuff if im love with them.

To celebrate my blog, i've made Couture cupcakes!

Makes 18
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature
1 cup sugar
3 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup sour cream

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line 12-cup standard muffin tin with paper liners.
Into a medium bowl, sift together cocoa, flour, baking powder, and salt; set aside. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each, then beat in vanilla. With mixer on low speed, add flour mixture in two batches, alternating with sour cream and beginning and ending with flour.
Pour batter into cups, filling each 3/4 full. Bake until a toothpick inserted in centers comes out clean, 20 to 25 minutes.
Cool in pan 5 minutes; transfer to a wire rack to cool completely, then spread with Easy White Icing using a table knife or small offset spatula. Decorate with sprinkles, if desired.

Easy White icing

Makes 3 1/2 cups, enough for 18 standard cupcakes
1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
1 pound (3 2/3 cups) confectioners' sugar
1 to 2 tablespoons milk, (optional)

1/4 tsp of vanilla essence

Directions
In a mixing bowl, cream butter until smooth.
Gradually add confectioners’ sugar; beat until smooth, then add the milk and mix again.

I then cut out with abc cutters, the letters from fondant icing. You can dye the white fondant icing any colour if you want!

1. Mean girls, a fabulous film starring Lindsay Lohan, its about a home schooled girl going to high school, joining the popular girls whilst being friends with art freaks and getting revenge on the queen bee.

2. Legally Blonde, A pink loving, girlie, kinda dumb, rich blonde sorority girl tries to win her ex boyfriend back by going to Harvard ( the college he’s going to) Law school. It’s such a girlie, funny film and is a must see!

3. John Tucker Must die, it kind of explains it in the title, John tucker is going down! John tucker is your average high school hottie dating 3 girls who find out and seek revenge by breaking his heart and damaging his rep!

4.. Breakfast at Tiffany's, a girlie film about a young New York socialite becomes interested in a young man who has moved into her apartment building

Easter and its SNOWING!

Happy Easter, hope you guys are having a fab time.

Well here in England i think the weather is having a identity crisis! Its snowing hard and there is an inch of snow! and its forecast to snow all day today and tommorrow YAY it hardly ever snows and its always a sprinkle. I want 2 feet deep snow *Stomps couture gals feet*. It looks so darling out like a winter wonderland pic! I'll try and get pics later.. The dogs and cats are entranced by the snow as they are only puppies or kitties and have never seen it!

Suncream is great for protecting your skin but Nivea Moisturising spray is also a great primer for foundation!!! After washing my face in the morning, i spritz on some suncream, pick out my clothes and apply the foundation. It allows it to sink in and creates a even base for your foundation. To finish the look, i add a swish of translucent powder and away i go! My foundation has SPF in it so my skin is always protected like yours should be! Its rather sticky and greasy so that's why i leave it before putting the foundation on!

Lipbalm Charm!

Lipbalms!

After many attempts at finding the perfect lip balm, i think i have found it ! I've probably tried over 2 dozen different balms in my lifetime, as i used to be addict to finding the perfect scent!

It all started with a little mermaid lip balm when i was little, it looked like this tube but with yellow plastic and a different pic of Ariel! It was a garish bright red lip balm and i think it was strawberry flavoured but one day i snapped the actual lip balm in half! I don't remember if it was a good moisturiser but it certainly brings back memories!

Lancome sweet balm was a total waste of money! It cost £13 and left a horrid white non blendable colour on my lips. The smell was sickly and was just plain gross. It didn't moisturise at all and in fact made them worse! Nivea Pearl and Shine Lip balm,I loved this when i was 9 as i thought i was SO cool wearing "lipstick"! it gives a nice frosting but light look to the lips and its quite moisturising.

TBS Born Lippy -This lip balm is very sticky and gloopy! Definitely don't buy! it also leaves a weird tint ! Ive tried the passion berry and orange and i ended up with either purple or orange lips YUK!

Now onto the best!

Carmex is a little pot of moisturising menthol heaven! It smells great, its very minty menthol like those cold oil things you put on pillows! It numbs your lips if you put enough on ha ha. It really moisturises and i have a little pots in each bag !

Ever so often i indulge in watching Breakfast at Tiffany's! Its easily one of my favourite films, but you simply cannot watch it all the time as it loses its magic!

I've found some most darling things !

For when you need to rest your peepers! This vintage dolls outfit is the exact copy of the cat mask outfit which we all love! Chocolate nests

Rather easy and simple but taste great!

I got rather creative for me and used the cute bunnies and feathers to decorate the plate.

225g (6oz) milk chocolate
2oz of Plain Chocolate
50g (2oz) butter
2 tablespoons of golden syrup/corn syrup
100g (4oz)Shredded wheat
Packet of candy-coated mini eggs
Paper baking cases
A muffin baking tray
A large saucepan

1. Place ten of the paper baking cases into muffin baking tray.

2.Break the chocolate into pieces and place these into a large saucepan.
3.Add the butter into the pan.

4.Dip a tablespoon into hot water to warm it up before using it to add the golden syrup into the pan.

5.Heat the pan stirring the mixture all the time until the chocolate,golden syrup and butter have melted.

6.Turn off the heat. Add the Shredded wheat to the mixture gently stirring them until they are covered with the chocolate.

7.Put the mixture into each of the paper baking cases. Make a small hollow in the centre of each nest with the back of a teaspoon.

8. Place 2-3 mini eggs in each case.

9. Put in fridge until set. You can leave or take off the cases.

First of all, Happy St Patrick Day!

LV's watercolour line is due out soon ! its such a unusual take on the logo and its such a pretty bag!

Sadly its $1,185 price tag doesnt stretch to a teens budget!! Tho i do hope for a LV for my birthday which is in may! The Vanchetta watercolours are coming out in May and the exotic's are out tomorrow! If you cant afford the price tag, LV have a super cute bandeau with the print on it!

Also i'm glad to see that the MC alma is being recognised by a celeb once again! I've got the white version which i bought with some money that i inherited. Its such a pretty shaped bag and comes in many diffrent lines!

My top three perfumes

Escada sunset heat

Escada Sunset Heat is a blend of Top notes of papaya, lemon, mango sherbet, and pineapple mousse. Middle notes of icy watermelon, peach, lotus flower, and hibiscus. Base notes of sandalwood, amber crystals, and musk.

This perfume smells like a sherbety sweet grapfruit and pinneaple with a slight muskiness. Its a perfect spring/summer day scent! This is such a pretty bottle and when put in the sunlight it looks like a sunset!!! The bottle lid is rather tacky and yucky looking so i binned that!

DKNY be delicious

DKNY Be Delicious blends fruity-floral notes of apple, cucumber, grapefruit, magnolia, tuberose, white muguet, rose, violet, sandalwood, blonde woods and white amber.

This perfume smells clean and Apple with a slight cool smell but after 15minutes it begins to smell more musky and like a toffee apple. I don't love the bottle shape as i wish it was more feminine!

Miss Dior Cherie

Miss Dior Chérie Perfume by Christian Dior is for the new Dior girl, a scent of sugar and spice. An impertinent gourmand and modern chypre fragrance. Notes of Green Tangerine, Strawberry Leaves, Pink Jasmine, Caramelized Popcorn, Strawberry Sorbet,Patchouli and Crystalline Musk.

I love this scent the best as it reminds me of when i first bought it and went on holiday! Its sweet and musky and has a rather unique smell about it ! Its my favourite out of the bunch! It has such a pretty girlie bottle too!

I'm not a expert on perfume and i don't know much about it so these are just the thoughts of couture gal!

eye spy !

I eye spy something on my eye called a stye! ewwww!!! It hurts badly and its so gross but sadly it means i have to buy new mascara and my recent eye products i used wahaa.

So bye bye Covergirl lashblast and rimmel eyeliner into the bin you go!

Anyway on to my point, here are the shelf lives of your make up!

Eye shadow: Lasts up to 3 years. Watch for discoloration and, if you live in humid climates, mold.( so even if you sadly love them and they are ancient, please put them in the bin!)

Eye Liner: sharpen regularly. Can last up to three years. (Yeah right! mine lasts a couple of months)

Mascara: Bin after 4 months, don't pump the wand as it lets air, creating more bacteria! eww try swirling the brush instead

Lip gloss: 6-12 months. I know mine smell funky after a while and when they do, the go in the lip gloss graveyard!

Liquid foundation: 12-18 months. Be sure to check regularly for a weirdo smell! And if the product starts to separate in the jar,BIN IT!!

Powder foundation: 2 years.

Lipstick: 2-3 years. check regularly for odd smell and mold in humid climates.

Also washing brushes and sponges are a must! Preferably once a week! I tend to wash them at night, so they are more or less dry by the morning or do it on a weekend when you probably wont wear make up!

During the last couple of weeks, there has been a few articles complaing about the "it" bags and they are on their way out. Is it sadly the death of the new it bags each season, worn by the celebs? Well i hope not!

"it" Bags have become a part of fashion, they are what people strive to get. Endless waiting lists, fighting or bartering over bags is the whole point of the "it" bag. The way people stop and stare at the pretty bag, the evil glares and the tuts of the amount spent.

The "it" trend is what made the balenciaga city bags a must have, the Multicolour LV's, the fendi B bags, the YSL downtown bag. With their crazy price tags and the limited stock, its no wonder the celebs are carrying them!

With not many of us being able to afford the bag, i think thats what makes it fun! I do hope "it" bags are here to stay!

Live like a mermaid!

In Istanbul in 2010, they are opening this amazing hotel! I think it would be like living as a mermaid! This isn’t the first such underwater hotel complex in the world! That honor goes to the $500 million Poseidon Hotel which is currently being built off Fiji. The Istanbul hotel differs in that it is being built under the city center, which should make for an interesting experience.

I WANNA GO!!!

Anyway keeping with the blue theme here are some fab blue make up!

After tried and tested, i have concluded that this is the best ever recipe for cookies!!! I used peanut m&ms but you could use normal ones, choc chips or even fruit!

Makes 30 cookies!

3oz of butter

3oz Caster sugar

3oz Light brown sugar

1 medium egg

1 tsp of vanilla essence

6oz plain flour

1/2 tsp of baking powder

6oz of peanut m&m's

1. heat the oven to 180c, 350F and grease 2 baking trays with some oil.

2. Mix the butter and sugar together until mixture is smooth and creamy.

3. Add the egg and vanilla essence and mix.

4. Sift the flour and baking powder together and add to the mix slowly.

5. Add the m&m's into the mixture and stir.

6. Put heaped teaspoons of mixture onto the baking trays, making sure they are spread out well as they spread out.

7. Flatten each cookie gently with the back of a fork

8. Bake Cookies for 10 minutes until they are slightly golden.

9. Leave them on the tray for a few minutes before placing onto a wire rack or plate.

There are only about half the cookies on the plate as they were scoffed quickly before i could get camera batteries!

1. First i applied a primer.

2. I then lined the lids with a green eyeshadow , how i would with normal eyeliner except not tightlining the eye

3.I then used my bobbi brown gold shimmerbrick, using the bright gold and light gold over the lids.

4. i then blended the gold together.

I wore this eye look with a clear nude lipgloss ( stila lipglaze in banana )

Using Clinique eyeshadow qaud in Spicy, i made the perfect chocolate eye

Using the matte dark chocolate colour, using a blending brush i took a tiny ammount of shadow and sweeped it across the lid.
Using another eyeshadow brush, i blended the lid.
I then lined the eyes using tightlining and underneath the lashline.
I then applied a generous ammount of lashblast mascara and i was done!
its a natural but smokey ish look!

Rocky road!!

You will need a loaf tin with a double layer of clingfilm

110g dark choc

110g Milk Choc

200g butter

75ml strong coffee

2 large eggs

50g caster sugar

225g Digestives,crushed into medium chunks

100g glace cherries, halved

200g marshmallows halved

1. Place chocolate, butter and coffee in a pan over a low heat, stir occasionally until mixture is smooth

2. Whisk eggs and sugar in a separate bowl

3. Mix together biscuits and cherries and marshmallows and pour egg mixture over and mix together

4. Mix the two mixtures together and pour into loaf tin and leave overnight in fridge.

5. Then tip onto a plate

Ta da, it took about a day for my family and i to eat the whole thing as its soo good and moreish!

Spring Couture

Hey Hey!

Spring is approaching in a few days well its daylight saving time! Clocks go forward 1 hour on Sunday! That means one hour less sleep noo! Least I'll be able to get up with it being Sunny yay! It doesn't really feel like spring soon here in the UK as yesterday we had a sprinkle of snow and its been raining WTF!!

I've been spring cleaning my bedroom and I've tidied my wardrobe, making a list of what i need in my wardrobe.

Anyway here are some tips to help you with the clocks going forward

Begin to re-adjust your sleep schedule a few days prior to the time change by going to bed an hour earlier.
Modify your eating schedule by having dinner one hour earlier.
Be careful when driving or operating machinery on the day of the time change.
Avoid napping, particularly before bedtime.
Keep a light schedule -- such as minimizing driving and avoiding strenuous physical activity -- on the Monday after the time change.
Eat properly, stay hydrated and remain physically active.

Introducing Chocolate Wednesday!
Every wednesday, i will be posting a chocolate recipe with pics and yummy stuff!
Here is the first ever C.W recipe

Here is my recipe for Marshmallow chocolate cupcakes! Makes 24

( mine are not in cases as i had run out so i cut them out !)

3oz of butter or margarine
7oz caster sugar
2 eggs beaten
1/2 tsp of vanilla essence
4oz plain flour
2oz cocoa powder
1/2 tsp of bicarbonate of soda
1/4 tsp baking powder
2fl oz of milk
bar of dark chocolate
bag of marshmallows

arrange cupcakes in tin
cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Then beat in the eggs and vanilla essence
sift together the dry ingredients and beat into the creamed mixture and then add the milk
then place a teaspoon of mix into the cases, place a marshmallow and a small chunk of chocolate into the cupcake and then place more mix on top of the marshmallow until it is completely covered.
Bake at 190C ( 375F) or gas mark 5 for 30 minutes until the cupcakes are well risen and firm to touch ( you can also stick a knife into a cupcake and if it comes out clean, its done!)
let them cool for a few minutes before place them onto the wire racks or plate.
You can now either ice them with cream cheese or butter icing or leave them as it is.

I left mine as is, if you don't ice, either serve them normal with ice cream or cream. Or to make them even yummier, put them in the microwave for 30 secs which gives them a brownie ish texture!

Oscar's make up!

I loved this years Oscar's hair and make up! It was simple yet classy, it was all really the same, channelling the same trends but each celeb pulled it off fabulously but hey i think anyone with that kind of team would!

Jessica alba's make up was easily my favourite, creating a smokey eye with bronzes. It was neutral with a glow and simply fab.

I also love Jennifer hudson's smokey silver eyeshadow with a warm natural coloured lipstick. It makes her eyes pop and her skin glow!

Yawn, I feel like i've seen this before! The sheer red berry lip and minimal eyes was nothing special
Loved this look on Katherine, the bronzed skin with an orangey red lip with simple eyes was very old hollywood and glam.!

I really hated this look, it was all too much! The blusher made her look like she was embarrassed and it was too much with the smokey eye and lipstick

And that ends the Oscar's with a bang! Can't wait till next year!

The dresses !!

The ladies in neutral, im loving these frocks. The white really flatters jenifer hudson skin tone. I also love the laid back hair with the dressy up frock on cameron diaz. Renee looks great in the silver embellished strapless dress even though she is looking a little lollipop ish!

Im not loving Miley's look, a bit too grown up. Hiedi's is a bit too showy, but when can else can you be showy! Loving Anne's and Katherine's dresses, reminds me of nicole kidmans dress last year.
Noir, Noir! Love the lace embellishment on Hillary's dress, not so keen on penelope cruz's dress it may be the detail around the middle that puts me off. Nicole's dress was rather blah, but blinged up with some fab jewellery!

Agyness Deyn's real name is Laura Hollins!

After watching Jonathan Ross last night, featuring a interview with the up and coming Agyness Deyn. She seemed nervous and gabbled and still managed to look great. She supports the grunge/punk but girlyish. Agyness grew up with Henry Holland, who is famous for his crazy message tees!

"The Little Mermaid" is one of my favourite movies ever, along with cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. Well they are my fave Disney films, I love the underwater palace and when they look around a human shipwreck.

Well carrying on with my Water theme, its coming up to spring break! Time to rock the sunscreen, swim cover ups and the new tan. Cover up are so cute, when worn correctly! I cant stand tacky tie dye sarongs! Here are my faves from VS!

A very interesting and shocking fact about most movies and TV programmes! I've always envied all those fab bags on screen! But the shocking is they are fake!!! OMG! Most of the ones you see are. I know it crazy right!?
In this scene in mean girls, at the mall, Regina is holding a fake Louis vuitton Cherry Blossom Pochette!

Also Cady is seen holding a Louis Vuitton multicolour pochette later on in the film FAKE! infact all the bags are fake. I have also seen a fake LV in the OC, carried by summer. But strangely enough marissa's chanel bags are real, as chanel gave them to her! I think the only TV programme known for not using fakes is SATC. Yay them!

I'm a huge hater on fakes, i think it disgustingly wrong. I don't get why people support this huge industry, it has been proven to support terrorism. I get that most people can't afford designer purses, neither can i! On my allowance it doesnt exactly cover a LV budget, but i either save and use christmas or birthday money to buy a designer item. But the fact is that i have plenty of cute purses which aren't designer and i love just as much my LV alma.
People who buy fakes, karma is going to come along and bite you on the ass!

Butternut squash soooup!

I'm going to give you my recipe that my grandma uses ! It makes the best soup ever and is so yummy!

Butternut squash soup

1 onion
2 carrots ( peeled)
1 and ¼ pints of boiling water
Half of a butternut squash ( peeled and remove seed’s if using the bottom part!)
1/8 or ¼ tsp of chilli powder ( depending on the hotness of your powder!)
1 Chicken stock cube ( I use oxo)
Pinch of salt

1. Chop and fry onions until they are semi clear

2. Add roughly chopped carrots and butternut squash

3. Add a stock cube and water, pinch of salt and the chilli
4. Stir and heat on a low medium heat for around 30mins

5. Check and see if the butternut and carrot is squishy

6. If so, Blend until there is no lumps and is a medium thickness 7. eat!

It's super good, it reminds me of spending time with my grandma at the weekends while we cooked soup and some kind of cake/cookie! We then proceeded to eat our makings while watching old films! It doesn't look too appealing in that pic!

Heya

You may have noticed that i didnt do my secondpost on LFW, well to be honest. It was so uninspiring and just plain yuck, that i couldnt be bothered to pick out some decent looks. My favourite as always is Paris Fashion week, i love watching Chanel, Valentino, Balenciaga, Christian dior, Versace, Gucci ,YSL and Fendi. I also love watching the Haute Couture shows online for their sheer fabulousness! I usually watch them online at style.com or vogue.com

1. My bug bare, is when girlies wear make up that simply doesn't suit them. Make up is meant to enhance your beauty not make you look crazy or washed out! i wear colours that suit my skin such as, peach,browns,gold and some greens for eyeshadows, peach blushers or a bronzer and then some lipgloss which is pink or a natural ish colour, nothing with a blue or purple undertone as it really doesn't suit me. This is what i mean, its just plain ugly on her (fafi collection) and she seems really pretty * taken from kiss and make up website. She uses orange eyeshadow and a blusher that makes her look bruised! * not coco! this is a super cute kitty i found online, coco is a grumpy 13 year old siamese who we rescued! I still love my coco !

2. Oowwie! My cat coco bit me yesterday because for some reason the dogs starting chasing her around the dining room! ???? So i scooped her up as she is old and in shock she lashed out and bit my two fingers on my left hand! It really hurts as cats have fangs and they go quite deep when biten! So i'm typing this one handed, with christmas plasters on my other hand lol!

3. Im looking around for some new products to try, for this blog! I dont want to bother with fafi as everyone has tried that on their blogs and it gets a bit dull after a while. If you have any products you would like tested out, post it on here!
4. I'm sitting here waiting for maybe my dad and sister to bring me back a costa's strawberry shortcake frescato ( Their version of frappuccino's !) I hope it is as nice as the starbucks frap's as i love those, cinnamon dolce latte's/frap's, tazo tea frap's and java chip fraps are my faves! I have even got a big bottle of cinnamon dolce syrup which i add to coffee mmm! I would make fraps but my blender doesn't crush ice boo!

With tomorrow being the last day of London Fashion Week, im going to show you some of my fave collections and worst collections.

Henry Holland

This collection just vile, it was cheap looking, with school girl tarty tartan! The whole collection was based around this vile yellow and blue tartan.

Jaegar London

This classic British brand showed it's first ever LFW show, with voluminous knits, a vampy feel and fabulous takes on the classic dogtooth. It showed fashion but with class and oozed vampy Goth but with real rtw!

Gareth Pugh
Argh, this collection was damn right scary! With wicked witch of the east and raven like outfits and make up. It was just awful!

Eurgh or Yum? thats the deciding question.

In the Febuary 18th of people magazine, there is a new and wierd advert, for Welch's grape juice. Its a lickable flavour stick! They work like the dissolvable mint strips, you stick the strip on your tongue and you will get a taste of welch's grape juice. You will also be able to tell if your strip has been open so there are no hygiene risks lol!

It sounds pretty yummy to me, but i can imagine it tasting of perfume as those perfume ad's often have those wet strips that you apply. I dont get why they dont do a sachet of it in the magazine instead!

Lashblast mascara!

Covergirl lashblast mascara is only $8!! and its easily the best mascara ever! I've tried loads of high end ones and cheap ones and this rocks ! It has a fat orange brush with like plastic bristles

It doesn't clump, smudge or flake and gives lots of volume and length to your lashes and doesn't give you spidery lashes yay! 5 stars from me, a must have and i will most definitely buy again!

To create fuller lips i have a tutorial for you!

You will need

1 navy eyeliner (what!! you may think but just you wait!)
concealor
lipgloss
and a lip pencil closest shade to your lips

1.Before pic!

2. Go around the outside of your lips with concealor, ( near to you skin shade, this came out very light in pics!)

3.Blend !
4.In the corners of your mouth draw close to the lip a navy line( eww mouth!)
5. Blend!

6. Line your mouth normally7. apply lipgloss8. Ta da your lips are fuller, glossy and are guarunteed to make the girls jealous!

A fabulous Mac collection which i will be snapping up!

Isn't the packaging darling! I love the bubblegum pink mixed with the holographic logo! its so fun, so pretty and what the Barbie collection should have been!

I'm loving the starlet kiss, 3rd from left! it looks like a cute shimmery natural lipglass with a pop of pink similar to Stila Pussycat dolls lipglaze in peppermint which is my favourite lipgloss of all time !

here are the shade names! Love the lipsticks but im not really a lipstick gal! lovin lollipop loving!Beauty Powders! Not my kind of thing but looks pretty lol

Now onto my topic lol I'm pretty bored of my look, its not really typical of england, its more california, laguna beachy! Im addicted to juicy Couture and AE and its just not that cool over here. But thats ok as i can still wear them, just not as much. Im thinking cute cardi's, jackets, cute blouses, flats and skinnies. I'll be keeping you guys updated with my buy's.

Mac have had a brilliant campaign since 1994, Viva Glam, where all the money goes to HIV and AIDs which is such a brilliant cause so claps for mac. And the newest to join the VG clan is fergie! other VG celebs are Dita Von teese and eve!

Fergie looks fab, a little airbrushed to say the least! but im loving the lions mane hair. If you want to support the cause, go to mac.com or mac shops and pick up a lipglass or lipstick and you'll know you've helped!

Bags, bags, bags, every girl needs a "cant go wrong bag"! A cant go wrong bag, is a bag that goes with nealry everything in your closet, looks great and is simple yet fabulous. Handbags can make or break an outfit, they can bring a bit of style or just neaten up your look.

Here are my fave " bags you cant go wrong with this season ( b.y.g.w);This little gem of bag, is $68, is a great taupe colour which will look great with fall colours. Its also made of PVC but looks like real leather ( urban outfitters) and also comes in seafoam and blacky/brown

This cream large tote is perfect for lugging books around in, its also cheap and affordable for girls on a budget. It also comes in gold/peach and khaki and is $21! from forever21.

This little Louis Vuitton clutch is perfect for going out for drinks, going shopping or even fitting your make up inside. It can be used as a clutch or shoulder bag and is one of my fave bags ever! I am also hoping to recieve this for my birthday which is in a few months! $300

Another Louis vuitton classic is the speedy! This bag is heavily faked boo! but its such a useful and smart bag which can be used for casual or evening ! Its a hand held one but you can buy a shoulder strap for it!$650

Im not a religious person but this year i've decided to give up chocolate and cheese for lent ( 40days!).
I would eat cheese and chocolate all day everyday if i could lol im hoping to lose some weight with it too. 5 days in, im finding it rather easy and im not missing cheese and chocolate at all. So are any of you guys giving up anything for lent?

5 fruits and veg a day makes the skin glow !

Im sure im not the only one, but i do struggle to fit in 5 veggies/fruits a day. Vegatables and fruits are essential to a healthy body and a natural glow, and everybody need them! Im allergic to loads of fruits and veggies, tomatoes, potatoes, peas,oranges, lemons and grapefruit! So thats 6 fruit/vegetables i cant have.

i have found a few ways to sneak more veggies in.I have made up a vegetable soup recipe which has 3 or more portions of veggies ( recipe coming soon!), i blend frozen berry fruits in the morning with water and that is another portion. i snack on fruit too.
Fab tip here - cut an apple so all you have a square core, so you should have 4 pieces of apples and then slice thinly. Its perfect for when you are watching tv as it tricks you into thinking you are eating crisps lol!

A girly relaxing bathroom! Minus spongebob!.
I think Bathrooms are something that every girl needs! not just for hygiene reason, everyone needs a bathroom for that haha. What i mean is that girls need somewhere to relaxing and just chill and soak that stress away !

"What stress?" You may say, but being a teenage girl is stressful, exams,bitchy comments, grades, popularity and even when you have the school play!

To soak the stress away, i reccomend a yummy smelling bubble bath, i love sweet strawberry or fruity tutty ones best, a stereo or somewhere to play music ( not ipod tho you dont want to kill yourself!), some chocolate, candles and some comfy pj's!

Thanks to a review on makeup bag teen corner, i picked up the Covergirl Lashblast on a whim on ebay! And by golly its the best ever whim i've bought! It lengthens and thickens my already long and thick lashes and gives a fabulous fake lashes natural look!! The brush is thicker than most and the plastic bristles are a squidgy plastic which makes it easier to use and clean! I also love that it comes with a little lid for the tube so it will last longer!

It doesnt clump or make the lashes look spidery which happens with most mascara's on me as i have really long lashes.

I will post a before and after pic over the weekend i have some homework to catch up on! Geography, history, english and chem!! argh shouldnt take that long as ill do most of it tonight lols!

Amanda bynes is looking fabulous in a teal strapless dress with pretty embellishment. The Ugly Betty Gals, I know you guys are thinking what! I think Vanessa Williams in the Yellow really flatters and makes her skin glow and seemed a fresh choice, whereas American Ferrara looked stunning in a understated grey dress with detailed shoulder strap. Ashley Tisdale looks flawless in a embellished white gown with a simple Chanel bag. Marcia Cross i think is my favourite look, the simple cut and design brought out with an amazing teal colour with shell embellishment in the middle of the chest. Terry Hatcher looks fabulous in a cream and grey dress which reminds me alot of the Roberto Cavalli Vase dress.

UGLY'S!!!

Some of the dresses were absolutely gross!! Becki Newton wore a white ill fitting dress which was just ugly! Eurgh Can't even explain ellen pompeo's dress!!! its like foil gone wrong! Debra Messing dress is ok, it could have been fabulous if she had lost the wierd neck thing! And Cate Blanchett and Angelina Jolie! WHAT WERE YOU THINKING!

Paris when it sizzles is a fabulous film! It stars Audrey Hepburn and William Holden and was filmed in 1964. The film is set in Paris during the Bastille weekend, Where Richard Benson, a famous film writer has been staying in this fabulous apartment and parting all around europe and going on holidays instead of writing "the girl who stole the Eiffel tower" and he has a deadline of Monday morning at 10am. Gabby arrives to type the script up and finds that he has not written one word or even thought about it! The film shows them writing the script and you also get to watch the movie they are writing at the same time. Also during the three days they begin to fall in love.

Here are some tips to get rid of the blahs!
Paint your nails your favourite colour.
Be inspired and get a new fabulous hair cut or dye or even a trim will give your hair a boost.
Find a new perfume or make up item.
Read your favourite book again.
Use a face Mask.
Play some funky cheesy music and dance!
Brighten up your desk or where you do your work with some flowers and some funky accessories.

LOST !! its time to have a party

Guess whats coming soon, LOST!! yay. US people its coming to you 31st Jan and UK people 3rd Feb.

LOST is the best TV programme ever, and has had me hooked since season 1. Each year my friends and I have a LOST party. I invite all my LOST obsessed friends and we watch the 1st episode of the season together and have lost themed food and decorations!!

Time to start planning now i think!

Here are some fun things to do

Make invites that are oceanic boarding passes, easy to do on the computer or by hand!

Print of Apollo labels and stick them on chocolate bars!

Make cookies in the shape of Fish ( sawyer's fish biscuits!)

if your really making it a big party, get people to dress up as the characters

Print of the dharma logo's and stick them on food and drinks.

If you want to be really savvy, draw a Dharma logo on some butcher paper and attach it to your door, so it looks like you are entering the hatch.

I'm going to be doing, make your own sundaes and nachos too!!!

So start planning LOST fans!!

Newport Harbor

I absolutely loved Laguna Beach series 2. It had drama, giggles, bitchiness, fun and cute fashion most of the time! My favourites were Kristin, Taylor and Casey. Yes, Casey the complete Barbie trash girl, she was fun and sweet and should of had more camera time!

Now onto why i titled my post " Newport Harbor", I think Newport Harbor was a better programme in away. I think it was a little boring and lacked the spark that Laguna had, but i think the way they dressed and acted seemed a little more real and a lot less slutty that the Laguna series.

Newport Harbor showed fun, cheaper and more fashionable clothes than Laguna. The Girls were often seen in Juicy Couture, Pink by VS, AE, betsey Johnson, with a few cheaper designer accesories. The styles were also easier to recreate too.

Newport harbour the holiday series is on on wednesdays at 10:30pm on MTV

I know you U.S gals are all obsessed at the moment over gossip girl and love Serena and Blair or even jenny!
I haven’t seen the programme yet, as it not come over in my country yet! GASP!! I know it's so annoying. But from what I can tell, they all have a j.crew kind of wardrobe and its all preppy but with fashion twist. So from what I have seen or heard about it, here is an outfit that I think is wearable and in a gossip gal style!

All 4 items are pretty and very versatile.
The coat is such a classic and reminds of Breakfast at tiffany’s
The Skirt is pretty and reminds me of strawberry fields!
The Mustard coloured top adds a bit of contrast and makes it all go together
And last but definitely not least, those gorgeous Mary Jane’s!

And if you definitely what the Blair look, add a hairband!
